Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. As an integral part of our engineering department, you will work to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for our electronic logging devices, both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
- • Write well-reasoned, documented, and tested software.
- • Assist with the analysis and resolution of customer bug reports.
- • Support hardware testing and debugging efforts.
- • Write and maintain internal and external documentation.
- • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- • Maintain a thorough understanding of the projects and tasks you’re working on.
- • Provide regular updates to your supervisor/manager on progress and any challenges encountered.
- • Work independently with minimal supervision, but ask for help when needed to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- • Minimum 2 years experience with embedded software development.
- • Proficiency in C programming.
- • Solid understanding of embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. SVN, Git).
- • Demonstrated critical thinking and logical problem solving abilities.
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- • Driver’s license required.
- • Experience using hardware debugging tools (e.g. multimeter, logic analyzer, oscilloscope).
- • Experience with common embedded communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, and CAN).
- • Proficiency in Python programming.
- • Experience with wireless communication protocols including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and talented Field Application Engineer to join our team. As an integral part of our team, you will support the Operations team and the Engineering team, acting as a liaison to between the build team and the customer. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with a passion for embedded systems to grow and develop their skills in a supportive and innovative environment
Responsibilities:
- • Determine hardware system status and limitations by gathering and evaluating information on a variety of factors including security and reporting needs.
- • Review and modifies existing software to improve performance, correct errors, and conforms with compatibility requirements of available hardware.
- • Write and edit technical documents including reference manuals and product manuals.
- • Assess the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjusts tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding.
- • Create or works with graphic designers to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
- • Stay current on changes to laws and policies from relevant agencies (DOT, FMCSA, etc), incorporating them into processes and documents as needed.
- • Field support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, and similar concerns.
- • Guide users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions.
- • Assist the Sales team with the creation of accurate marketing materials and customer-facing documentation
Required Qualifications:
- • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Software, Information Technology or a related field
- • Proficiency in C programming and a solid understanding of embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. SVN, Git).
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including conflict resolution
- • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees and customers.
- • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software.
- • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize customer needs and wants
- • Ability to manage time effectively and keep to a schedule.
- Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- • Experience using hardware debugging tools (e.g. multimeter, logic analyzer, oscilloscope).
- • Experience with common embedded communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, and CAN).
- • Experience writing technical documents for both internal and external use
- • Proficiency in Python programming.
