IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL
This notice applies to all IOSiX IO-1020 Micro Devices.
NHTSA Recall No. 24E077

WHY DOES MY DEVICE NEED ATTENTION?

Firmware older than version 360 does not contain our enhanced cybersecurity features, increasing the risk of potential security vulnerabilities and tampering and the risk of a crash.

WHAT WILL IOSiX DO?

IOSiX has provided firmware updates, first released in May of 2024, for all IO-1020 Micro Devices, free of charge.  The update should take less than 5 minutes to complete.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

Please update your devices to the latest firmware version available (version 360 and later) immediately. These versions offer enhanced security features designed to protect you and your applications.

IF YOU ARE AN ELD SOFTWARE DEVELOPER:

Using the IOSiX app APIs, you will need to update to the latest version (Android and iOS v2.0.0 or later) to maintain current functionality.

  • *App performance will be unaffected by the update.
  • *App APIs are available on the IOSiX Bitbucket

IF YOU ARE AN END-USER:

Please ensure your app is operating on the latest firmware (Firmware 360 or later) and install any available updates. Check with your software provider to determine if they support this functionality. If your software provider does not support firmware updates, or you are unable to access their application, please contact IOSiX for instructions.
